We provide surveys for potential buyers of sailing and motor yachts and existing boat owners who require a survey to gain insurance or assist in the process of repair. We also provide surveys for professional bodies including insurance underwriters, banks and mortgage lenders who require yacht surveys to assess their risks and valuations.
In all these instances we provide a professional and comprehensive service. Our reports are detailed, thorough and include photos, where appropriate. All the survey reports are backed up with the opportunity to discuss the contents, assisting in fully understanding the condition of the vessel.
The links to the yacht surveys introduce the different types, with the Pre-purchase or Full Condition yacht survey being the most comprehensive and recommended for all boat buyers. Work which falls outside the scope of the standard surveys, such as overseeing repairs and osmosis treatments, we have classed as consultancy for which we provide tailor made schedules of work and quotations.
As an Affiliate Member of the Yacht Designers & Surveyors Association we are able to carry suitable professional indemnity and liability insurance which underlines our commitment to providing a professional service.
Our fees are based on the industry standard and you will find them very competitive. We often discount our standard rates based on a number of factors and keep the surveyor’s expenses to an absolute minimum. As an example we do not charge travelling expenses to visit a yacht for a Pre-purchase Survey or Insurance Survey anywhere in Cornwall and Devon.
To complement the more traditional methods of communication and payment we have introduced an online booking form to make commissioning your survey quick and simple and we accept payments from debit and credit cards using PayPal’s Email Payments. You do not have to have a Paypal account to use this service which is simple, secure and fast and you do not share any financial information with us.
We are based in the port of Falmouth which provides easy access to the harbours of Cornwall and Devon such as Penzance, Mylor, Fowey and Plymouth and often travel further afield.
